Pricing and fees

There are two separate costs in making a Lasting Power of Attorney: what you pay us to prepare it, and what you pay the Office of the Public Guardian to register it. We keep them clearly apart.

The registration fee

The Office of the Public Guardian charges £92 to register each Lasting Power of Attorney. If you make both, that is £184 in total. You pay it directly to them when you send your signed documents. It never passes through us.

You may pay less, or nothing

If the donor's gross annual income is below a set threshold, the registration fee can be halved. If they receive certain means-tested benefits, it can be waived entirely. This depends on the donor's circumstances, not the account holder's. We will tell you which form to send with your application.

A capacity assessment, if one is needed
A professional certificate provider, if you cannot find a suitable one yourself
Postage, printing, or certified copies

Refunds

You have 14 days to change your mind. If you ask us to start straight away and we have already produced your documents, that right ends — we say so plainly at checkout and ask you to confirm it. If our free check clears you and we then find we cannot prepare your documents, we refund you in full.
