Help your clients and families make their LPAs online
An early-stage introducer programme for professionals whose clients often need an LPA and don't know where to start.
£49
Per LPA, or £79 for both types
- No cost or obligation to refer
- Donor always stays in control of their own LPA
- No client data collected from you on their behalf
The Office of the Public Guardian charges a separate £92 to register each LPA. That fee is paid to them, not to us, and is not included above.
The short answer
We prepare LP1F and/or LP1H paperwork for £49 (one LPA) or £79 (both); the client pays the OPG's £92-per-LPA registration fee separately.
We give no legal advice and don't assess capacity — the donor is always our customer and makes every decision themselves.
Referring today simply means sharing a link; there's no formal commission structure yet, but you can express interest in a more structured arrangement.
Complex or contested cases should still go to a solicitor.
Why LPAs come up in your work
If you're an accountant, financial adviser, estate planner, care professional, employer or charity working with older or vulnerable clients, a Lasting Power of Attorney conversation tends to surface naturally — during retirement planning, a care needs assessment, a diagnosis, or simply as part of general "getting your affairs in order" advice. Clients often know they should make one but don't know where to start, and a simple, credible next step is genuinely useful to have on hand.
What we do — and what we deliberately don't
- We do provide an online service that helps someone prepare correctly formatted LP1F and/or Health and Welfare LP1H paperwork, checked for common completion errors, for £49 (one LPA) or £79 (both).
- We do not give legal advice, assess mental capacity, or act as a regulated legal practice.
- We do not act for you or your organisation — the donor is always our customer, and they make every decision about their own LPA.
- We are not a solicitor's firm, and nothing on this site should be treated as legal advice for a specific situation.
The donor stays in control throughout
Whatever the referral route, the person making the LPA completes the questions, reviews every answer, and decides who to appoint. We never take instructions from a third party on someone else's behalf.
How referring works today
There is no formal commission structure or partner portal at this stage — this is an early-stage introducer programme that professionals can express interest in. In practice, referring is straightforward:
- You mention that an online LPA service exists as an option, alongside a solicitor referral where that's more appropriate.
- You send your client or contact a link to LPAs Online, or point them to this page.
- They complete the process themselves, in their own time, entirely independently of you.
- If you'd like to discuss a more structured introducer arrangement as this develops, contact us.
Ready when you are — the free suitability check takes about a minute.
What your client or contact pays
| Item | Paid to | Cost |
|---|---|---|
| Preparing one LPA | LPAs Online | £49 |
| Preparing both LPAs | LPAs Online | £79 |
| Registering each LPA | Office of the Public Guardian | £92 |
There's no charge to you or your organisation for making a referral, and no obligation on your client to use the service — it's simply one legitimate route among several, alongside doing it themselves on paper or instructing a solicitor.
When a solicitor is the right referral instead
- There's a genuine question over the client's mental capacity to make the decision.
- The family disagrees about who should be appointed, or there's a history of conflict.
- The client has business assets, trusts, or an unusually complex estate.
- The client specifically wants tailored legal advice rather than a standard OPG form.
Recognising these situations and pointing towards a solicitor is exactly the kind of judgement your professional relationship with the client already involves — we'd rather you make that call than route a mismatched case to us.
Data protection and consent
We only ever collect information directly from the person making their own LPA — never from a third party on their behalf. If you're sharing a link or leaflet with clients, that's simply pointing them to a resource; you don't need to, and shouldn't, submit any of their personal details to us yourself. Any future structured introducer arrangement would set out data-handling responsibilities clearly before either side shares client information.
Ready when you are — the free suitability check takes about a minute.
Getting in touch
If you'd like to talk through how this could work for your clients, your organisation, or the people you support, contact us and we'll get back to you. This programme is genuinely early-stage, so early conversations shape how it develops.
Common questions
Is there a formal referral fee or commission?
Not currently — this is an early-stage introducer programme. If you'd like to discuss a more structured arrangement as it develops, contact us.
Are you regulated to give legal advice to my clients?
No. We are a document preparation service, not a solicitor's practice or a regulated legal adviser. We don't give legal advice, and any client with a legal question should be referred to a solicitor.
Who is actually your customer if I refer someone?
The donor — the person making the LPA — is always our customer. They complete every step themselves and make their own decisions; we don't take instructions from a third party.
Do I need to send you my client's personal details?
No. You simply share a link to the service; the client provides their own information directly to us when they're ready.
What if my client's situation is too complex for an online form?
If there's a capacity concern, family disagreement, or business or trust assets involved, a solicitor is the right referral instead of an online service.
Can charities and employers use this, not just financial professionals?
Yes. Any organisation whose clients, members, service users or employees might benefit from being pointed towards an LPA is welcome to get in touch.
How do I find out more or discuss a partnership?
Contact us and we'll get back to you — the programme is genuinely early-stage, so we're keen to hear how it could work for your organisation.
